Dr. Yepuri Madhusudhana Rao
Dr. Yepuri Madhusudhana Rao is one of the foundations of the Tummala family’s healthcare legacy. Dr. Yepuri is the father of Dr. Padmini Tummala and as the first physician in the family and a deeply respected figure in India, he dedicated his life to service, compassion, and caring for people from all walks of life. Known for treating patients regardless of their financial background — and often providing care for free — Dr. Yepuri instilled the values that continue to guide our family today. His belief that healthcare should be rooted in dignity, access, and humanity remains central to the mission of Tummala Health. Through Tummala Health, it is now our generation’s responsibility to carry his legacy forward on a global scale. We honor his example by building a platform committed to serving patients from all socioeconomic backgrounds and making high-quality care more accessible to everyone.
Dr. Madhava Rao Tummala
Dr. Madhava Rao Tummala was a highly respected professor, educator, and trailblazer who helped open doors for the immigrant community in the United States. After immigrating during a time when the journey carried great risk and uncertainty, he went on to earn his PhD and build a distinguished academic career. He served for many years as a professor at Eastern Michigan University, where he became known for his work in business development, education, and mentorship. His courage, discipline, and dedication to learning continue to represent an important part of the Tummala family legacy — one rooted in perseverance, leadership, and the belief that education can create opportunity for future generations.
Dr. Padma Tummala, MD
Dr. Padma Tummala, MD, was a highly respected OB-GYN who dedicated many years of her career to caring for women and families throughout Arizona. Known for her exceptional compassion, clinical excellence, and deep commitment to her patients, she built one of the region’s most trusted practices and helped deliver countless children into the world. Beyond her medical accomplishments, Dr. Padma left a lasting mark on her community through the care, kindness, and support she gave to the families she served. Her legacy continues through her children, Dr. Sailesh Tummala and Dr. Shilpa Tummala, and through the values of service, compassion, and patient-centered care that helped inspire the broader Tummala Health mission.
